Three consecutive meetings looked at different aspects of this vast topic: the 7th meeting of the Bern Group of Experts on Conservation of Invertebrates; the 14th International Colloquium of the European Invertebrate Survey; and the 1st meeting of the IUCN European Invertebrate Specialists Group.
