British Red Data Books: 3. Invertebrates other than insects 1991

Abstract

This Red Data Book covers the diverse invertebrate groups other than insects, and is a companion volume to British Red Data Books: 2. Insects, published in 1987.

The bulk of the book consists of data sheets, each dealing with an individual species, in the standard format of Red Data Books pioneered by IUCN. Each species dealt with is placed in a threat category reflecting how serious is the risk of its disappearing from the British fauna.

This resource has been produced from a scan of an original document. You may therefore experience fluctuations in quality and large file sizes. Due to the file size of the volume, it is divided into the following parts/chapters:

Please note that this Red Data Book was first published in 1991, therefore more recent information may be available. To find more up-to-date information on the conservation status of species, please visit our conservation designations webpage.
