Development and testing of the Management Effectiveness of Protected and Conserved Areas (MEPCA) Indicator. Volume 2: Appendices 2024

Abstract

The Management Effectiveness of Protected and Conserved Areas (MEPCA) indicator was initially developed based on the approach used by the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic (OSPAR Convention). This method is constructed of four questions and has been successfully applied for several years to report on the status of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the North-East Atlantic.

This Report (JNCC Report 782) consists of a series of appendices, which accompany JNCC Report 781 ('Development and testing of the Management Effectiveness of Protected and Conserved Areas (MEPCA) Indicator. Volume I').

The appendices include the following:
