Common Standards Monitoring Guidance for Vascular Plants 2004

Abstract

This chapter deals with Common Standards Monitoring (CSM) for vascular plants on designated sites, including SSSIs and SACs. It provides guidance on the identification of interest features, attributes and targets.

Guidance is provided for all those vascular plant species which qualify as individual notified features or qualify in combination with other vascular plant species according to the Guidelines for selection of biological SSSIs (NCC, 1989), or according to similar guidelines that have been used to select ASSIs, or which appear on the Habitats and Species Directive Annex II.
