CEND11/16 Cruise Report: North Norfolk Sandbanks and Saturn Reef, Inner Dowsing, Race Bank and North Ridge and Haisborough, Hammond and Winterton cSAC/SCI Monitoring Survey 2016 Cruise Report 2017

Abstract

This survey focused on the North Norfolk Sandbanks and Saturn Reef cSAC/SCI which is located in the southern North Sea, extending from about 40 km off the north-east coast of Norfolk. This cSAC/SCI encloses a series of ten main sandbanks (Leman, Inner, Ower, Well, Broken, Swarte, and four sandbanks collectively known as the Indefatigables) and associated fragmented smaller banks, which represent the most extensive example of the offshore linear ridge sandbank feature in UK waters.
