CEND23/16X Cruise Report: Monitoring Survey of Pisces Reef Complex cSAC/SCI 2017

Abstract

This report summarises the methods and data acquired during a survey of the Pisces Reef Complex candidate Special Area of Conservation and Site of Community Importance.

The monitoring survey of the Pisces Reef Complex was carried out between 30 October and 4 November 2015, as part of a cruise that also visited Utopia Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ) on behalf of Natural England. The two key aims of the survey were to acquire sentinel monitoring data to support the ongoing monitoring time-series for the Pisces Reef Complex and provide evidence on the structure, function and condition of the Annex I Reefs (both rocky and stony) against which the direction of change can be inferred over time.
